Applications and Nominations
The application for Alumni Councilors is now closed. The ballot to vote on new Councilors will be sent in May
The Alumni Council is a group of dedicated volunteer leaders who support UC Santa Cruz and help guide the university into the future. Alumni Councilors serve as the board of the UC Santa Cruz Alumni Association. They collaborate with UCSC staff to support student success, award annual scholarships, advise campus leadership on important issues, and connect over 140,000 alumni through enriching programs.
Serving as an Alumni Councilor is a rewarding experience that has a meaningful impact on the lives of students and alumni, and the future of our beautiful campus. We’re looking for leaders with passion, vision and a desire to give back to their alma mater. This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for those interested in learning more and getting involved with higher education access, student support, fundraising, alumni engagement, and general non-profit board work.
As defined in the Alumni Association bylaws, only Members are eligible to join the Alumni Council. Members are individuals who have either earned a degree from UCSC, attended UCSC for six or more quarters and are not currently enrolled, or are Alumni Association Life Members. These individuals must also have an active and functioning email address on record in the UCSC University Relations alumni database. If you are unsure about your membership status, please contact alumnicouncil@ucsc.edu.
